A typical morning in Kenya

The alarm clock goes off at 6:45 a.m. I open my curtains and get blinded by the rising sun. Back to bed. The next alarm sounds wake me up at 7:30. This time I wake up, mad at myself for oversleeping. A quick trip to the swimming pool. This early in the day, it’s just me and a few other people. Back to the room to take a shower. I make coffee, break out my laptop and headphones and go out on the terrace.

My face when I realize I’m not alone.

‘Oh, I’m just dropping by.’

‘To eat breakfast.’

Will you feed me or should I continue?

I can see you’re hiding something!

I can see you’re hiding something!

Hand it over.

Hand it over.

Don’t take pictures of me eating!

My mom will come soon.

Hi, I’m mom. I’ll just sit over here.
